It was in the early 1950s that Andrew’s family first embraced the spirit of adventure that would spark a generations-long devotion to the Caribbean. At that time, Andrew’s grandfather, accompanied by a young wife and their two small children, boarded a Fyffe’s banana boat for a month-long voyage. Departing Liverpool, the family sailed from island chain to island chain, and eventually arrived in Jamaica where they boarded the small plane that delivered them to a new life in what was known then as British Honduras.

Since that fateful journey, Andrew’s family has maintained deep personal and professional ties to Belize, and it was there that Andrew spent much of his childhood. After earning a degree in International Business from the University of Montana, he returned to Belize full-time. There he embarked on a career that would encompass the complementary industries of banking and real estate, allowing him to develop the expertise that is now sought out by developers, investors and buyers from around the world.

In 2005, Andrew moved to the Turks & Caicos Islands to work as the managing director of the British Caribbean Bank. He grew the bank’s portfolio from $30 million to $400 million, putting it at the forefront of the hotel/condo boom in Turks & Caicos and providing financing for several major real estate projects, including The Gansevoort, Beach House, Blue Haven, and Alexandria. In the years that followed, Andrew’s business interests took him to various other destinations, as he earned nearly two decades of experience throughout the Caribbean. After completing the development of Alaia Hotel + Resort, a 20-acre master-planned hotel and condominium property in Belize, Andrew chose to return to the Turks & Caicos Islands to pursue the irresistible and rare combination of a timeless Caribbean lifestyle, exciting business opportunities, and the perfect island haven to raise a family.

Andrew has amassed extensive knowledge of high-end developments and developers throughout the Caribbean, as well as the financial systems that support them. This unique professional background means he can provide valuable insight to clients considering purchasing a home or making a real estate investment in the region.

As a single father of two and partner in a growing business, Andrew uses his free time to embrace everything island life offers, from scuba diving to running on the beach. His greatest passion, however, is deep-sea fishing and his children are quickly learning to share this joy with their dad. Although he likes to cook, Andrew often brings a sushi chef aboard when fishing for tuna so he can serve fresh sushi right on the boat. As for his lucky fishing spots? You’ll have to ask him.
