In late December 2018, TCREA partnered with the Rotary Club of Providenciales to take on the Seniors Grocery Drive. The two organisations got together and packaged over 100 nonperishable gift bags which were distributed to senior citizens throughout the Islands during the Christmas holidays, a way of saying “You are special. Thank you.” All were received with open arms and grateful hearts.
Everybody loves playing games and winning prizes, so in February 2019 TCREA partnered with Danny Buoy’s Restaurant for our first-ever Bingo for Charity event. It was a night of fun that also allowed us to raise funds for the Turks & Caicos Diabetic Association and the local senior citizens. The night included rounds of Chinese auction raffles for gifts from our amazing sponsors including dinner for two at the Outback Steak House and Mango Reef and spa treatments from Deluxe Day Spa. Bingo for Charity was held on three Saturdays—we had a blast with members, residents and tourists!
The primary purpose of TCREA’s Social Committee is to serve the community and help those who live among us. Please support these local businesses that were instrumental in making our charity a success. The greatest gift we can give to our community is when we contribute to making lives better; when we touch others with small acts of kindness, donations or time; spreading light to the most needy, and enlightening our souls in the process.
